Moving in Gaithersburg, Maryland
Gaithersburg sits along I-270 in Montgomery County, between Rockville and Germantown. Mid Atlantic Van Lines helps with local moves into, out of and around Gaithersburg, from townhomes in Kentlands and Lakelands to apartments and single-family homes across the city. Tell us about both addresses, and we will plan the right crew and truck.
Kentlands, Lakelands and Townhome Living
Kentlands and Lakelands are planned neighborhoods with narrow streets, rear alleys and garages behind the homes. Many townhomes have three floors and tight stairs. Check with your HOA about truck parking, and tell us whether loading from the alley is possible.
Apartments and Montgomery Village
Gaithersburg and nearby Montgomery Village have many apartment and condo communities. Most have set moving hours and rules about where trucks can park. Ask your leasing office before you pick a date.

Gaithersburg Moving Questions
Can you load from the alley behind my townhome?
Often, yes. It depends on the alley width and HOA rules. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
How do I get a three-story townhome ready for moving day?
Start packing on the top floor and work your way down. Clear the stairs and hallways before the crew arrives.
Do I need HOA approval for a moving truck?
Some communities require it. Check with your HOA or management office a week or two ahead.
